Razer RGB face mask is officially going from prototype to product

Razer recently unveiled a smart mask prototype. This is now a reality, and Razer will start selling them.

Razer unveiled what was then called Project Hazel during the virtual CES show, describing the prototype as the world’s smartest face mask.

As shown then, the mask promised N95 medical-grade respirator protection and had a built-in microphone and amplifier so your voice could be heard better. The waterproof mask had a clear transparent face area with internal lights to illuminate your face in dark conditions. And of course your favorite RGB lighting.

The final product will be made available in Q3 2021 as part of Razer's portfolio of surgical, cloth, and smart masks," said Addie Tan, Razer's associate director of business development, in a statement. "It may include features borrowed from the original concept design, but with a focus on affordability and practicality for everyday wear."

The product has officially received the green light.
