Bethesda Softworks has announced new updates to its critically acclaimed hit Skyrim, nearly a decade after its initial release. The game will receive a free next-gen upgrade on November 11th, exactly 10 years after its original release date, and will be available to all owners of Skyrim Special Edition. And that's not all: all Special Edition owners will get three free pieces of Creation Club content in the game, including the ability to go fishing.
On November 11th, Bethesda will release another edition of the game, aptly titled The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition. This version includes everything from the Special Edition, as well as three free Creation Club pieces and “over 500 pieces of unique Creation Club content,” such as quests, weapons, and more. If you already own Special Edition or play the game on Xbox Game Pass, Bethesda will let you purchase an upgrade to Anniversary Edition, but hasn’t detailed the price.
