Google's Android app will now allow you to delete your search history from the last 15 minutes
Google's Android app now has the ability to delete the last 15 minutes of your search history.
Google spokesperson Ned Adriance said, "We're currently rolling out this feature on the Google app for Android and expect it to be available to everyone using the app in the next few weeks." "We're still looking into ways to bring this useful feature to other surfaces," says the company.
Former XDA Developers editor-in-chief Michael Rahman was the first to notice the feature, claiming that he was tipped about its possible release. Open Google's Android app, tap your profile picture, and look for the "Delete last 15 minutes" option to see if you have it.
It took some time for this feature to make its way into the Android app. The feature was first announced at Google I/O in May, and it was added to Google's iOS app in July. Google stated at the time that it would be available on the Android version of the app later in 2021, but the company failed to meet that deadline for some reason. It's unclear whether Google plans to bring the feature to desktop — the company didn't specify which platforms it would be available on in its May announcement post, and in July, Google only said the feature would be coming to the iOS and Android apps.
