Amazon has launched a groundbreaking AI video generator for advertisements, allowing marketers to create "content-rich" video ads using just a single product image. The new tool, available to select U.S. advertisers in beta, can produce visually engaging videos that highlight the product’s unique selling proposition (USP) and features.
In addition to the video generator, Amazon has introduced a live image capability within its existing AI image generator. This feature enables enterprise clients to create animated campaign images, similar to looping GIFs seen in online ads.
An Amazon spokesperson revealed that the AI video generator produces six-to-nine-second-long videos at 720p resolution and 24 frames per second. Each video takes about five minutes to generate and comes with four variations, giving users options to choose from. While details on customizing the tool with text prompts or editing existing videos remain unclear, the generated ads follow a consistent format featuring two scenes, headlines, background music, and a call to action. The soundtrack is customizable, and the brand logo is displayed in the upper-right-hand corner.
