Google Lens has introduced several updates, including a new video-based search feature that allows users to upload videos and receive AI-generated responses through AI Overviews. But that's not all—Google has also enhanced its visual search tool with a voice search option. This update simplifies searching for items by allowing users to point their camera, press the shutter, and ask questions out loud, with the AI providing relevant answers.
The voice search feature is now available globally through the Google app on Android and iOS, but currently supports only English queries. Additionally, Google is improving the shopping experience with Lens. Users can now easily find exact or similar products online, thanks to a revamped results page that displays crucial information like reviews, pricing from various retailers, and availability.
Powered by advanced AI models and Google’s Shopping Graph, which analyzes over 45 billion products, Lens now provides more detailed and accurate product search results. Another recent update is the short video feature, enabling users to record up to 20-second videos, which are processed by Gemini AI for more dynamic queries, such as those involving moving objects or actions.
