Sony Interactive Entertainment has officially unveiled its first-ever dedicated fight stick — FlexStrike, formerly known under the codename Project Defiant. Scheduled for release in 2026, the new accessory is designed for competitive fighting game players and marks a significant expansion in PlayStation's first-party hardware ecosystem.
Platform Support & Connectivity
FlexStrike is compatible with PlayStation 5 and PC, offering wired connectivity via USB-C and ultra-low-latency wireless support through PlayStation Link, Sony’s proprietary connection protocol. This ensures seamless response times and cable-free setups.
Modular Design & Functionality
FlexStrike features mechanical buttons, a multi-position joystick, and tool-free swappable restrictor gates — square, circular, and octagonal — that can be stored inside built-in compartments. Additional switches allow users to toggle stick modes (D-pad/left stick/right stick), lock buttons to prevent mispresses, and access a touchpad and PS button.
